K-12 Art Curriculum:

The revised K-12 Art Curriculum was presented to the Board of Education Curriculum Sub-Committee and approved by the full Board of Education January 23, 2007 .

K-12 Music Curriculum:

The revised K-12 Music Curriculum was presented to the Board of Education Curriculum Sub-Committee and approved by the full Board of Education January 23, 2007 .

K-4 Mathematics Curriculum

The Scott Foresman Addison Wesley Math Series has been purchased for Lebanon Elementary School . All K-4 teachers received an initial in-service in June and will begin the new math implementation this Fall. Several student copies of the new textbook will be located in the Jonathan Trumbull Library. Stay tuned for more information

K-12 Health Curriculum:

The district-wide health committee continues to work on the K-12 Health Curriculum and identifying materials that need to be purchased. The committee expects to bring the curriculum and materials to the Board of Education Curriculum Sub-Committee this Fall .

K-12 Science Curriculum:

The revised K-12 Science Curriculum was presented to the Board of Education Curriculum Sub-Committee and approved by the full Board of Education January 23, 2007 . In the instructional area two teachers from Lebanon Elementary School continue to participate in a federally funded Math Science Partnership grant with Somers, Stafford , Windham , and Ellington. Kudos to teachers Judith Ingram and Carolyn Wheeler who have attended summer science institutes and brought delete back powerful teaching and learning ideas back to their colleagues at Lebanon Elementary School . As part of the grant the teachers are working with UCONN professors and participating in professional learning workshops, on-line learning events. Grant funded personal laptops and an LCD projector allow Carolyn and Judith to implement many of their new ideas. The grant has also funded a SmartBoard which will be installed this summer in the LES Library Computing Room allowing access for all teachers to use with their students.

The Lebanon Board of Education approved the K-12 Technology Plan on June 27, 2006 . An updated version of the plan with associated budget sheets will be posted.
