Each year the Board of Education sets goals for the year that we communicate to administration and staff in order to guide everyone's work and direction. For the 2009/2010 goals, the Lebanon Board of Education established seven broad guidelines to keep the district heading in a direction established over the past several years. Overall, the Board is pleased with the progress made by Lebanon students and with the excellent staff members who make up the Lebanon teaching community. The following are the seven general goals for the current school year:

• Implementation of the Strategic Goals Plan.
• Support continued improvement in CMT, CAPT, SAT and AP scores as well as obtaining an accurate and meaningful score analysis of each school.
• We will ensure that our community is fully and accurately informed about our schools.
• Review and update all district job descriptions.
• We will strive to have at least two retreats a year for self-evaluation as well as district review.
• We will update the Board of Education mission statement.
• The Board will re-evaluate graduation curriculum requirements.

The Board of Education as always encourages parents and community members to become involved with the Lebanon Public Schools.

The Lebanon Board of Education will meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month, at the Lyman Memorial High School Library unless otherwise specified. Board meetings begin at 7:30 p.m.
