Dear Lyman Parents, Guardians, and Students:
Welcome to Lyman Memorial
High School's
web site. You will notice that the Lyman school community
is dedicated to preparing students to be successful participants
in the twenty-first century. There are many programs and activities
to assist you in achieving this goal. This site is designed
to provide you with guidelines to policies, procedures and
services that ensure all students can take advantage of
the available opportunities. It is full of information that
you need to be aware of, and that will be helpful in your
high school career. I strongly suggest that you review and
discuss the information in an effort to enhance communication
between home and school.
I encourage all students to participate in one of
our extracurricular clubs or teams. Your high school experience
will become a memory that lasts a lifetime. Your involvement
in these activities will provide a well-rounded experience
that will become a positive influence as you develop your
character. Parents are encouraged to participate as well.
The Lyman Booster Club, Post Grad Committee and Parent Advisory
Committee are three organizations that are looking for your
support. Student success and high achievement
is directly related to the cooperation between the parents,
student, and school.

High School enjoys a fine reputation and has established a tradition

September Message
After a long summer vacation school has opened with great success and anticipation. Our students have returned with positive attitudes and appear ready for the challenges of the academic year. We are fortunate to have an impressive group of new staff and faculty members join us. They have unique talents and experiences that enhance our entire school program. Our goal to continue the improvement of the educational experience and program begins with talented teachers that articulate high expectations for student achievement. Our students are talented and capable of achieving at high levels when provided with structure and direction. The faculty and staff in partnership with parents and community members can provide that structure and direction that will result in an exceptional opportunity for our students to succeed. Communication is a key ingredient for success. Included with this mailing are the e-mail addresses and voice mail extensions for Lyman's entire faculty. Parents are encouraged to contact your child's teachers and follow up on their progress. Great things can happen when your child realizes that parents and teachers communicate.
