Question 1.

What were the achievements of the Egyptians during the New Kingdom period? You need to tell me what some of the inventions and advances were during this period.

Question 2.

Which Egyptian ruler was more like Sargon of Akkad in goals and achievements, Hatshepsut or Thutmose III? How? First, you need to check page 169 to refresh your memory about Sargon of Akkad. Then you need to tell me who was most like Sargon the Assyrian leader, was it Thutmose III or Hatshepsut. To answer this question you will need to be able to tell me what those two leaders were like.

Question 3.

After the death of an Egyptian ruler, who usually ruled next? How does this custom explain why some texts call Hatshepsut a king? Who took over as the new pharaoh when the old pharaoh died? Was it his son, the oldest child, his wife? Once you answer that question, then move on to tell me why Egyptians may have thought of Hatshepsut as a king.
