LMS FIFTH GRADE ART PAGE

Fifth grade student projects may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• WOVEN BASKETS: Creating a form using reed, references include baskets from Native American and other cultures, both past and present. 

• CAVE ART ANIMAL DRAWINGS/PAINTINGS: Creating the illusion of form through careful observation, contour line drawings, and the study of value using charcoal, pastels, and/or tempera paint

• STILL LIFE - FLOWERS:  Drawing seasonal flowers using glue and pastels or payons and watercolors

• COMPUTER GRAPHICS:  Adobe Illustrator/MS Photo Editor/MS Word to create books and/or posters

• CLAY PROJECTS:  Coiled pottery, animal sculptures, and the use of underglazes and glazes
