School Information

Open House was held on September 21st. Many parents attended, met teachers and toured the school.

The LMS School Climate Committee has done a great deal of work over the summer and during the first couple of months to create a Positive Behavior Support System at LMS.

Red Ribbon Week is planned for October 24-28 with a student versus staff soccer game at 1:30 on the 28th  as a culminating activity

Summer Reading – 2,454 books were read by LMS Students as part of the Summer Reading Challenge, this is a 16% increase over last year.

 

 

Parent Association

Meeting was held on September 12th, events for the year were planned.

Panther Den and Movie night was held on September 23rd, it was a huge success for the month of September with many students participating.

Folding tables, a projector and wireless access points are being funded by the PA and in the process of being purchased.

Activities

        The Peer Educators sponsored a dance which was held on Friday, September16th

        The seventh grade took the first rotation of the Project O field trip on September 28th.

        The sixth grade is going to the Boston Museum of Science on October 14th.

        Student council will host a dance on Friday, October 21st.

        The second rotation of the Project O field trip is October 28th.

        The 8th grade field trip to Lexington/Concord is November 4th.
