Dear 8th Grade Parents/Guardians,
As the school year is quickly getting underway and field trips are the topic of discussion, we would like to give parents the opportunity to make their field trip contributions at the beginning of the school year. Parents will be able to make their payments following the payment plan listed below. All payments should be made by check or money order and made payable to Lebanon Middle School. Please do not send cash with students.
The scheduled field trips for the eighth grade are: Lexington (Boston), New England Air Museum and Washington, D.C (4-day trip).
The total cost is $200.00 per student and the payment schedule is as follows: ($35.00 is for the 8th grade field trip and $165.00 is a deposit for Washington, D.C.)
1st payment of $50.00 by October 26th 2nd payment of $50.00 by November 21st
3rd payment of $50.00 by December 21st 4th payment of $50.00 by January 25th
Failure to make payments will result in student not being allowed to attend any remaining scheduled field trips.
As of February 1st, when the final cost of Washington, D.C. has been determined
and all fundraising profits have been deducted from students final cost, parents
will then be notified of the remaining balance to be paid by April.
Parents/guardians who are requesting financial assistance need to meet the same
criteria of our free/reduced lunch program. Parents who meet the criteria will
be asked to pay one-third of the total field trip cost. Parents are asked to
contact Mr. Laskarzewski in writing. Financial assistance will apply only to
the grade level field trips.
If parents would like to make a donation to help offset the costs of field trips, please make a check payable to Lebanon Middle School. Any donations will be deposited to a scholarship account that will assist families in financial hardship.
Additional information concerning field trip dates, destinations and permission slips will follow. As well, reminders of the payments will be issued as the dates approach. If you have any questions regarding field trip information, please contact Sheri Wilson at 642-5671 with any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Robert Laskarzewski
Principal
