Good Afternoon and Happy Labor Day,
iReady Diagnostic Testing:
This week we begin our first round of iReady diagnostic testing. We use these scores to establish tiered intervention groups for students who need that extra bit of support and to set the level for our individualized learning pathway, MyPath. It is important that students try their best on the assessment. As such, any student flagged for rushing through the test will have their test reset and will need to retake it. Any student who refuses to take the assessment or who becomes disruptive of the testing environment will face disciplinary consequences. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations at home. Please ensure your student’s Chromebook is fully charged when they leave for school tomorrow.
Cell Phones:
Please remind your students that cell phones should be OFF and AWAY all day. If you need to contact your student, please call the main office and avoid encouraging your student to check their phone during the day. This policy will be strictly enforced this year.
Athletics:
Registration for fall sports (cross country, boys and girls soccer) are open. Visit the following website to register: https://lebanon-ct.finalforms.com/
The weekly practice schedule and competition schedules are updated daily at the following link which is also on our website: https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vSP2KhoGehdY7vYYO9Mwi6A6aNwYM8mr7JBrKJiWaCgxFeUy9UrHPn-zEOZ6rPail-s_pPtAAw3p3AT/pub
Enjoy the rest of your long weekend.

Good Afternoon LMS Families! We can’t wait to have the heart and soul of our school, your kids, back with us tomorrow. Here are a few reminders:
The bus schedule is on the district website. If there are any issues with buses, M & J Busing’s number is 860-423-9552.
We have a zero tolerance cell phone policy. They must be OFF and AWAY at ALL times.
Please check the Parent Portal to ensure there were no last minute changes to your student’s schedule. It is helpful if they have their homeroom teacher’s name memorized.
For returning students, please have them bring their CHARGED Chromebook.
Our two summer academic challenges - the Governor’s Reading Challenge and iReady Math Challenge are due September 12th.
Please enjoy this entertaining video created using our new AI tools featuring our staff members!

We had an opportunity to recognize some fantastic student scholars and leaders tonight at the Board of Education meeting...

Good Evening LMS Families,
Please check your LMS student's bedroom for any stray library books. Ms. Cofrancesco is still looking for over 150 books and prefers to not send home that many bills.
Thank you!

Subject: Your Input Matters: Please Participate in the School Climate Survey
Dear LMS Community Member,
I hope this message finds you well. We are reaching out to request your participation in our School Climate Survey. Your insights and perspectives are invaluable to our ongoing efforts to enhance the educational experience for our students.
This survey is part of our commitment to include every voice in shaping the future of our schools. It originates from recent Connecticut legislation focused on school reform and the professional evaluation system. By participating, you are contributing to a collective effort to improve our instructional practices, ensure a safe and welcoming school environment, and foster communication that strengthens trust among parents, staff, and the community.
The feedback we receive from this survey will play a crucial role in our future goal setting and decision-making processes. We aim to understand how our learning community perceives our schools and use this information to drive continuous improvement.
Please take a few moments to complete the anonymous survey. The survey opens on Monday, May 19th and closes on Friday, May 30th. You may find it hyperlinked here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdnJDiCY5G54g9Kwi_T86aEepsHMRchjH2w3jcFQZMjBaC9iQ/viewform?usp=header

Best regards,
Chad Johnson
