The students had a great time at the pep rally today watching the student vs. staff basketball game. We also recognized our spring sports teams, our Choose Love Champions, our Lebanon Honors Society Inductees, and our students with perfect quarter 3 attendance.

A wonderful job by our student council and their advisors Mr. Comeau and Ms. Orlando making our teachers feel special during Teacher Appreciation Week. In addition to breakfast this morning, They created this amazing video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zgVDQESq8oLFmvzVQ1sagIrHfU5HSYY-/view?usp=sharing
Our Shadow a Student initiative is giving us valuable insight into the student experience by allowing teachers to step into a learner’s shoes for an entire day. By having a teacher from outside the grade level follow a student, we gain a fresh, unbiased perspective on transitions, engagement, and the overall flow of the day. Today, 7th grade science teacher Mr. Schulthies is shadowing an 8th grade student, providing a unique opportunity to observe how instructional practices and expectations feel from the student point of view. These experiences are helping us identify strengths to celebrate and areas where we can better support student learning, engagement, and well-being across grade levels. Side note - Mr. S was adamant that his shadow have PE the day he joined them....

Great performances by our band and chorus groups tonight!

Some fantastic works of art from tonight's LMS Art Gallery....

Many hands make light work! A special thanks to Ms. Wales, Ms. Ricatta, Ms. Archer and family for coming in to work on a Saturday to re-build their classrooms. The students will come to school tomorrow with a fresh new look. These new 'flexible classrooms' come courtesy of funds provided by our AI Pilot Grant.

Chartwell's held a Global Eats Day on Friday with the kids that was a big hit! Students enjoyed some unique Italian cuisine.

A special thank you to Ms. Huntington and our sixth grade class for being active members of our community by participating in Earth Day by helping to clean up our outside spaces!

We had a fantastic turnout for last night's Ballin For Better 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament to support mental health awareness. It was great to see students in grades 3 through 12 together and interacting while doing something they enjoy. Congratulations to our winners: Grade 3/4 - The 3 Amigos, Grade 5/6 - The Last Picks, Grade 7/8 - My Worst Nightmare, and Grade 9/12 - 6-7 Sigmas.

Lebanon Middle School was recently awarded the Mohegan Challenge Grant, providing staff with expert professional development and the school with $1,000 for texts about Indigenous peoples. The grant also fully funded a 5th-grade field trip and the students had a blast visiting the Mohegan Tribe today.
